The Wonderousness That is Autumn
As I browse around at friends' blogs in other parts of the country about how "crisp" and "colorful" and "wonderous" their autumn weather is, I am baking away in Southern California in my shorts and flip-flops, staring at the palm trees that never change color. See that map down below? See the "97" in the darkish red spot? Yah...That's me. That's where I live.

Hey, at least the WEATHER MAP has fall colors, even if we don't.
Believe it or not, this is one of the reasons I STRONGLY dislike SoCal.
It's NorCal for me all the way, baby. Can't wait to go back.
Hey, your maps a little off. It says 79 for me, but this afternoon it was 89 at the playground we went to. Too bad they think "fall" means it's time to shut off all the water features at the playground. Poor Hudson was frying in the heat, trying to splash in the puddle remnants to keep cool.
Good luck down there. I don't envy you right now.

It is supposed to cool off starting tomorrow and at least thru Saturday! MAYBE it will even become fall here!!??
97 at the beach in Santa Monica is very hot! Out here in the "Inland Empire" it cooks most of the time. Ouch! But I feel fall a-comin'! Yay!

but i am loving the Fall weather here :) it is lookin awful purty!
its pretty darn chilly in my office so i have no concept of this heat wave attacking san diego. i'm friged and people wonder why i'm bundled...ah, i seriously can't stand the cold, but hate the heat too...no end.
Yeah, I'm not going to lie. I'm loving the Utah fall weather. But I also know come January-April when we have non-stop dirty snow I'm going to be extremely jealous of you Californians.
I LOVE and MISS my flip-flips!! It's 47 right now and actually a lil warm for once!! I LOVE palm trees and have never been to an ocean with SURFIN waves!! SOOOO jealous! Though walking with the swirling red leaves and eating an apple cider donut does sound nicer than 97 degrees...LOL!!
The glorious New England autumn is the ONLY reason I think we still live here... well, that and employment.
