Pontifications About Pop Culture That Keep Me Up At Night (...no wonder I'm an insomniac)

What's the deal with pomegranates? How come they have become so popular these days? Has there been some boon in the pomegranate harvest that precludes a rash of products like pomegranate jams, soaps, air fresheners, juices, frozen yogurts, sodas, etc.? Did Oprah do a special pomegranate episode featuring the antioxidant properties of the fruit? Has there been some newly developed gadget in pomegranate harvesting technology? Did the pomegranate lobby somehow find its way to Washington? I love pomegranates...always have. But seriously, WHAT HAPPENED? Why is it that all of a sudden they are everywhere?

Is Batman really a superhero, or just a rich dude with cool gadgets? And is it just me, or is it not totally obvious that Bruce Wayne is Batman just by looking at his teeth? I mean, their dentition is identical! ...Okay...Maybe it is just me, but I had a very difficult time watching the latest movie without fixating on that fact.

Why didn't Edward freak out every time Bella was on her period? Is Tampax really THAT absorbent? (Sorry boys. I hope I didn't offend too much!)

What kind of quandaries keep you up at night?

You know, I totally though that about Bella and Edward. Glad to know I am not the only one. There are a lot of those type of loopholes with her books.
And really, does any superhero not look exactly like his ordinary-every day cover. People still recognize me when I put on glasses and change my hairstyle. Why doe sit mask Superman/Clark Kent?

Funny... I was just, this morning, at a posh little shop here in my smallish town and I sniffed myself some pomegranate soap. I thought to myself... I don't think I've smelled pomegranate soap before. Then I looked around and they had pomegranate everything. Bath salts, lotions, soap, body spray, etc. Weird that you would post this just today.

And, I'm not in dental school or even RELATED to a dentist and I've wondered the same thing about Bruce Wayne's "dentition". Good thing people in the movies are retarded and oblivious and don't notice such things... I did let it slide because Christian Bale is so smokin' hot!!! (and how 'bout his voice as Batman? That was weird!)

And, yes, I've wondered about the period/vampire thing many times. Maybe "that" kind of blood is not as appetizing? I can't imagine it would be... (Now it might be ME who's offending too much!)

Pomegranates are so hot right now. I've noticed as well. And yes, I also think its rather obvious that Batman IS Bruce Wayne- dentition and creepy voice aside.
But what really chaps my hide is that Hannah Montana. What the-!

You are too funny. I stay awake wondering things like what I am going to make for dinner tomorrow, and if the new laundry detergent is going to work as well on tough stains as the old kind...
Funny, funny, Shana... :-)

I wonder why everyone on FoxNews is always right about political garbage before it even happens...is it a conspiracy?

Does green frosted cupcakes in my dreams really mean that I'm selfish and jealous of my husband being out of a job because it means he gets to stay home with the kids?

Yes, Batman is a superhero, I don't really wonder about that...but I do wonder why I'm attracted to the introvert type despite the fact that it makes me frustrated.

I wonder why "blog stocking" is more fun that "stocking" on Facebook...somehow being able to see friends of friends without being their friend seems more entertaining than having to admit to some long lost person of your high school history that you want to be their friend again seems more creepy that just randomly stumbling upon their life on the world wide web makes more sense and less like stalking.

Is that good enough?
