I warned the boys the water would be cold, and they ought not get too wet or they'd freeze on the bus ride home.
That warning went unheeded.
They were armpit deep before I could blink.
They were armpit deep before I could blink.
So I decided to ignore them as they splashed on the silky shore. They would eventually thaw. Instead of joining them, I would catch up on my reading and soak--Not in the salt water, but the glorious sun.
Aaaaaaah! So very relaxing!

ROFL! Awesome little head popping up all over in every pic.
And I'm so jealous of the beckoning sun. It snowed, bitter sideways snow, here in Idaho this week. Today was a little better. 41 degrees and raining. Nice.
So it doesn't get any better when they get older? Bummer. :)
I swear it takes me 8 times as long to finish any book than it did long ago. Anyway, you guys are funny. We miss you!
BTW, that comment above was Christine. I need to pay more attention. Perhaps it is from the high pitched screaming that abounds in my house that has made me a little less on top of things. :)
I am super jealous of your sunshine! Looks like fun...
What funny pictures! Your kids are hilarious. And I totally agree with your post below. I feel like things have changed on my blog since joining facebook... Oh well! Glad to hear you got to have a nice sunny break from residency.
I'm much looking forward to the summertime this year. The new house has a clubhouse with a HUGE pool and splash park, which I'm sure we will be attending every day this summer. I might actually get tan.....
You're very lucky you get to live so close to the beach. I miss you Shana!
PARTY AT ANGIE'S!!!! WOO HOO!!!
Where's the Wayneman? I know he's not fond of the beach, but was he there with you guys? Why did you have to ride the bus? parking?
Just full of questions, huh?
Right! party at Angie's this summer!
NOT COOL Shana. While you're soaking in the gorgeous sunny CA beaches its still snowing here...LUCKY!
Mom - no, I am noticeably absent. Saturday is my day off - from the two creatures known as "Nathan" and "Hayden".
It's healthy for me AND them to have some time apart...
... AND, it's good for them to get some time alone with Shana, with her being so busy during the week.
It's the way we do it.
Ahhh, glorious! Those two, Nat and Hayden are nuts. I think that cool that you give them some mom time on the weekends. You're one amazing woman how you are able to accomplish so much and do it so successfully. One day I plan on sitting on you until you divulge all your secrets.
