I am so lucky to have married into a family that I absolutely adore! Kelly (Wayne's cousin), her husband Carlton, and their twins Pyper and Maddie came up for an impromptu trip in January. It was so great to see them again...even if it solidified my absolute humiliation when I saw how much taller than me the girls are than me now. We went for a picnic at Chrissy field because the weather was so gloriously sunny. It was FREEZING without the typical cloud layer that usually adorns the southeastern view of the Golden Gate. Yes, in San Francisco, sunny = cold! Here are some pictures of the kids enjoying themselves:

My favorite view of the Golden Gate is actually from the underside of the Sausalito side. I'm always fascinated with architecture, and this is one of the places that gives me the best appreciation for the engineering and artistry that went into the building of one of California's most amazing landmarks. Here are some of the views that make it so spectacular.
I'm going to miss San Francisco for the two years we will be Southern Californians again!
